Chery's upcoming 2026 Exeed Exlantix ES sedan is set to revolutionize the electric vehicle market with its impressive battery and range capabilities. But will it live up to the hype?
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Technology has revealed exciting details about this sedan's power source and driving range. The 2026 model will feature a massive 97.682 kWh battery pack, offering two range options: a staggering 835 km or an even more impressive 860 km. This is a significant upgrade from the current Exeed Exlantix ES EV, which was launched earlier in 2025 with a maximum range of 710 km.
And here's where it gets even more intriguing... The sedan's exterior design is equally captivating, boasting full-width LED taillights and a sleek rear diffuser, leaving a lasting impression. The front grille has been closed off, and the slim LED headlights stretch across the entire width, adding to its modern aesthetic. Higher-end trims will even feature interactive lighting and an electric rear spoiler, ensuring it stands out on the road.
Step inside, and you'll find a tech-lover's paradise. The cabin is equipped with an 8.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 15.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. This setup supports advanced voice assistants like Lion AI, Huawei HiCar, and Apple CarPlay, ensuring a seamless and connected driving experience.
But Chery hasn't stopped there. The updated model places a strong emphasis on advanced driver assistance systems. The Max and Ultra variants, for instance, come equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR and the Falcon driver-assist system, backed by 30 high-performance sensors and dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin X chips. This cutting-edge technology enables urban and highway assisted driving, as well as full-scene parking assistance, making it a leader in autonomous driving capabilities.
The current Exeed Exlantix ES EV already offers impressive performance with its single- and dual-motor variants. The single-motor version boasts 230 kW of power and a 77 kWh battery, while the dual-motor model delivers a whopping 353 kW and is equipped with a 100 kWh ternary lithium battery. The new 2026 model aims to extend these capabilities even further.
Positioned in the mid-to-large electric sedan segment, the Exeed Exlantix ES will compete with the likes of the Xiaomi SU7 and BYD Han L EV. With its extended range and advanced features, it's set to be a strong contender. However, pricing and launch details for this extended-range model are still under wraps, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting more information.
